Description:
Callousness in tabes dorsalis with insensibility to pressure over the Achilles tendon. Hard pressure on the Achilles tendon will not produce pain, because the deep sense of pain has been abolished. A somewhat analogue phenomenon of the arm is known as Biernacki's sign.
