Leo Ritter von Zumbusch
Description:
A rare form of severe, acute and generalized pustular psoriasis. It is characterized by the development of pustules in the flexural areas - the backs of the knees, the insides of the elbows, the armpits and the groin. These pustules continue to spread and soon they join to form lakes of pus. It is accompanied by high fever, leukocytosis, hypocalcemia, arthralgia, malaise, and other systemic symptoms. It may be lethal, especially in the elderly.
It was described by Leo Ritter von Zumbisch in 1910.
