Biography of Dagobert Schwabach
Dagobert Schwabach was educated at Berlin and Würzburg, where he was trained in otology under Anton Friedrich Freiherr von Tröltsch and obtained his doctorate in 1872. He continued working in his discipline with Johann Constantin August Lucae (1835-1910) at Berlin, and in 1873 became head of the department for diseases of the ear at the Berlin Allgemeine Poliklinik.
Besides the works mentioned below Schwabach published numerous articles on hearing tests, deaf mutism, statistisc of deaf mutism, etc. in Albert Eulenburg’s (1840-1917) Real-Encyclopädie der gesammten Heilkunde (published 1880-1883).
