Argentine gynaecologist, born April 17, 1890, La Plata; died May 29, 1976, Buenos Aires.

Biography:
Juan Carlos Ahumada Sotomayor was Cathedratic professor of Gynecological Clinics in Facultad de Medicina from Universidad de Buenos Aires; chief of gynecological and abdominal surgery service for women in Hospital Nacional de Clnicas; was a member of Sociedade de Obstetricia e Ginecologia de Buenos Aires and member of Academia Nacional de Medicina do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
