    A bacillus discovered by Achalme in 1891. It is identical with bacillus aerogenes capsulatus of William Henry Welch (1850-1934) and George Henry Falkiner Nuttal (1862-1937), termed bacillus Frænkel (Eugen Fraenkel, 1853-1925) and bacillus perfrigens by Adrien Veillon (1864-1931) and Zuber.
