    Biography of Heinrich Fründ

    Heinrich Fründ was surgeon in Bonn and Osnabrück. He was affiliated with the University of Bonn – the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, as head physician from January 1, 1946.

     In 1937,  in Osnabrück, he perfomed the first operation for removing blood clots from the femoral vein and the pelvic blood vessels in order to prevent the recurrence of a lung embolism.
