    Biography of Leopold Auerbach

    Leopold Auerbach attended the universities of Heidelberg and Würzburg and was conferred doctor of medicine in Heidelberg in 1880. He settled in his native town as a neurologist, and scientifically concerned himself particularly with the development of neurology. His work concerns general, comparative, and special anatomy of the nervous system. His most important work is probably his neurological-histological investigations that treat functional conditions in particular (narcosis, excitement).
