Biography of Johan Albin Dalén

Johan Albin Dalén studied in Lund and at the Karlinska Institutet in Stockholm, and received his doctorate in Uppsala in 1897. He worked at the eye clinic at the Serafimerlasarettet in Stockholm and was habilitated for ophthalmology there in 1897. In 1906 he was appointed professor in Lund, in 1910 at the Karolinska Institutet. He made a large number of contributions covering a wide field of eye medicine. With Fritz Gustaf Ask (1876-1934) he published Nordisk lärobok i oftalmiatrik, Stockholm, 1923.
