Biography of Christian Frederik Heerfordt

Christian Frederik Heerfordt, ophthalmologist in Copenhagen, was known for his gallic temper and his love of publicity. In a press releases he maintained that he had found the cause of glycoma. His theory, however, proved to be of little value. He was the founder of the Association of Younger Doctors.
