Biography of Johann Friedrich Wilhelm von Bezold

Johann Friedrich Wilhelm von Bezold was professor of meteorlogy in Munich, and from 1885 to 1907 director of the Prussian Institute of Meteorology. He was Chairman of the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft from 1895 to 1897.

His main interest as a scientist was the physics of the atmosphere and he contributed much to the theory of electrical storms.
