Biography of Paul Herman Martin Sudeck

Paul Herman Martin Sudeck studied at Tübingen, Kiel, and Würzburg, where he obtained his doctorate in 1890 and worked as an assistant at the pathological institute. He then came to the same position at the Allgemeines Krankenhaus Hamburg-Eppendorf, becoming ausserordentlicher professor in 1919. In 1923 he was appointed professor ordinarius of surgery at the newly founded University of Hamburg.
