Biography of John Bowring Lawford

John Bowring Lawford attended the McGill university in Montreal and completed his medical education at St. Thomas's Hospital in London. He became an assistant ophthalmic surgeon at this hospital, and assistant surgeon and pathologist at the Royal London Ophthalmic Hospital. He then became ophthalmic surgeon and lecturer in eye medicine at St. Thomas's Hospital, where he was later promoted to consultant ophthalmic surgeon.
