Biography of Helga Fremerey-Dohna

Helga Fremerey-Dohna was the fourth child of earl Alexander zu Dohna-Schlodien (1876-1944) and Elisabeth von Pommer Esche (1882-1969). Her father was professor of law, first at Königberg, later in Heidelberg and from 1925 on in Bonn. There Helga studied medicine from 1936 to 1937. In 1938 she married Otto Fremerey (1895-1978), but divorced 10 years later. From 1947 to 1951 she finished her studies. After she got her MD degree she became librarian and worked at the university library of Bonn. In 1974 she remarried Otto Fremerey.
