The generalized type of epidermolysis bullosa syndrome. Onset in early infancy. Inheritance is autosomal dominant.

The clinical picture was first described in 1882 by Alfred Goldscheider (1858-1935). It was Koebner who, in 1886, coined ther term «Epidermolysis bullosa».
