Miescher's granuloma (Alfred Guido Miescher)

An annular lesion with raised border seen on skin chronically exposed to the sun. Microscopically it shows phagocytosis of dermal elastic fibres by giant cells and histiocytes. It is a histopathologic hallmark of erythema nodosum.
