Stripping. Extirpation of the saphenous vein. One way of treating varicosed veins. A flexible special probe, a so-called vein-stripper, is passed through the lumen of the vein, for instance extraluminal with a ring-stripper, intraluminal with a Babcock probe - Babcock’s method.
