Description:
Unilateral or bilateral fracture of the body of the maxilla. The maxilla is separated from the facial skeleton. The separated part is triangular or pyramidal in shape and extends into the nasal bones. Characterized by mobility of the nose into the dental arch. May result from a blow to the lower or mid maxilla.
