Description:
Flatau's sign presents as mydriasis (pupillary constriction) in response to neck flexion (assisted if neccesery) in meningitis. Aetiology is unclear, but stretching of medulla and involvement of meningeal sheet of spinal nerve radices (pachymeninges) might be possible causes.
