Réaction caractéristique du lévulose (French). A test for fructosuria. To the urine is added an equal volume of hydrochloric acid containing resorcinol in the following proportion: 0.5 resorcinol, 30 water and 30 concentrated hydrochloric acid. Formation of Burgundy-red colour after heating indicates fructose.
