Türk's syndrome (Siegmund Türk)

Related people

A partial manifestation of Stilling-Türk-Duane syndrome, referred to as a separate entity by one author only. This syndrome relates to a fibrous degeneration of the external rectus muscle with limitation of abduction of the affected eye beyond the mid-line and retraction of the bulb upon adduction. This limitation of muscular function is one of the component of Duane's retraction syndrome; hence, Türk's syndrome is regarded as an incomplete form of the latter. A birth injury has been suggested as one of the more likely causes.
