Red nucleus (anterior portion) syndrome. Manifested by cerebellar ataxia and hemichorea, usually associated with hyperkinesia, without oculomotor nerve paralysis. It is one of several syndromes that occur with involvement of the red nucleus. The typical features are evident only when the anterior portion of the red nucleus is affected.
