Biography of Pierre-Emile Launois

Pierre-Emile Launois commenced his studies in Reims, then continued in Paris, where he became externe 1878, interne 1879, received his doctorate in 1885, and became médecin des hôpitaux in 1895, professeur agrégé of histology in 1898. He was particularly known for his investigations of the pituitary. He later concentrated his efforts exclusively to the Hôpital Lariboisière.
