Biography of Samuel Oram

Samuel Oram qualified in 1939 at King’s College Hospital, London, and in the following year he was awarded the gold medal of the university for his doctoral thesis. After serving in the Royal Army Medical Corps during World War II, Oram became senior physician and director of the Cardiac Department at King’s College Hospital and censor of the Royal College of Physicians.
