Biography of Peter Theodor Hackenbruch

Peter Theodor Hackenbruch studied at Bonn, where he received his doctorate in 1888. Following his internship (Assistentenzeit) with Friedrich Trendelenburg (1844-1924) he settled in Wiesbaden in 1892, and in 1900 succeeded Friedrich Cramer (1847-1903) as head physician in the surgical department of the St. Joseph’s Hospital in that city.
