Biography of Charles Louis Xavier Arnozan
Charles Louis Xavier Arnozan became doctor of medicine in Paris in 1879 and agrégé in 1880. An outstanding clinician and therapist, he worked as professor of clinical medicine in Bordeaux. His most important works concern vomiting, eruptive fever, polyuria and albuminuria.
With Louis Vaillard (1850-1935) he showed that blockage of the pancreatic ducts caused atrophy of the pancreas but not diabetes.
