Biography of Jules Sottas

Jules Sottas was born into a medical family. He received his education and became interne des hôpitaux in Paris, where he obtained his doctorate in 1894. From 1891 to 1895 he was chargé de laboratoire at the Hospice de Bicêtre, and at the Salpêtrière under Joseph Dejerine, with whom he did a series of works, the best known being on the Dejerine-Sottas syndrome.
