Biography of Johann Hoffmann

Johann Hoffmann was educated at Worms and graduated in medicine at Heidelberg. As an assistant in the department of neurology he became closely associated with professor Wilhelm Erb (1840-1921) whom he later replaced as head of the department. Late in life he was appointed full professor of neuropathology.
