Biography of Rezsö (Rudolf) Bálint

Rezsö Bálint studied in Budapest, where he received his doctorate in 1897. He was a pupil of Friedrich von Korányi (1828-1913) and became adjunct at the medical clinic. In 1910 he was habilitated for internal medicine, professor extraordinary 1914 in Budapest, full professor 1917.

He did fundamental work on the pathology of the vegetative nervous system and the pathogenesis of gastric ulcers (acidic conditioned).
