English physician, born 1837 (1836?) Middlesbrough, Yorkshire; died June 9, 1891.

Biography:
Henry Gawen Sutton studied at King’s College in his native city of Middlesborough, becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1863, in 1870 fellow. He was physician at the City of London Hospital for Diseases of the Chest, then physican and lecturer of pathological anatomy at London Hospital, and consulting physician at the Poplar Hospital.
