Biography:
Gotthard Schubert obtained his doctorate at Breslau in 1903, and 1903-1909 worked in the pathological institute at that university under Emil Ponfick (1844-1913), at the Wenzel-Hancke’s Hospital and at Otto Ernst Küstner’s (1840-1931) women’s clinic. He subsequently settled as a woman’s physician in Beuthen, Oberschlesien. He was particularly known for his operational method of inborn vaginal defects.
