Biography of Hugo Paul Friedrich Schulz
Hugo Paul Friedrich Schulz studied in Heidelberg and Bonn where he, whilst still a student in Eduard Friedrich Wilhelm Pflüger’s (1829-1910) physiological institute, did his first scientific work. He obtained his doctorate at Bonn i 1877, and then entered a position at the pharmacological institute in Bonn under Karl Binz (1832-1913). He was habilitated for pharmacology and toxicology at Bonn in 1879 and from 1883 was professor ordinarius of pharmacology at Greifswald. He was appointed Geheimer Medizinalrat.
