Donovan James McCune

American paediatrician, 1902-1976.

McCune-Albright syndrome
A rare congenital developmental disorder beginning in childhood or early adolescence, combining polystotic fibrous dysplasia of the bone, café-au-lait pigmentation of the skin, and endocrine disorders.





Biography:
Donovan James McCune qualified in medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, in 1928. At the time when he published his account of the McCune-Albright syndrome he was a paediatrician at Columbia University, New York.
