Biography:
Friedrich Wanner studied in Munich, receiving his doctorate in 1894. He was subsequently assistant at the I. medical department under von Hugo Wilhelm von Ziemssen (1829-1902), and 1896-1908 at the university otological clinic under Friedrich von Bezold (1842-1908). He was habilitated for otology in München in 1902, becoming professor extraordinary in 1910, subsequently working as head physician of the otological department of the hospital. His work concerns in particular otology, deaf-dumbness, and function tests.
