    Biography of Roberto Sampaolesi

    Roberto Sampaolesi, MD, was Chief Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology of the Universidad del Salvador from 1962 to 1992, Chief Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology of the University of Buenos Aires from 1982 to 1992, when he was emerited. In 1998 he was
    appointed Director of the Course of Specialization in Ophthalmology of the University of Buenos Aires.

    Roberto Sampaolesi has been the president of several meetings and congresses omn opthalmology, he has been awarded a large number of honours and awards, and has been an invited lecturer several times.

    In 2003, he was made an honorary lecturer at the chair of ophthalmology at the medical faculty of the University of Buenos Aires.
