A very rare syndrome where abnormal bone development starts early in life and is fairly severe but after a few years, the bones return to almost normal.

Biography:
At the time of the publication of the article on the Maroteaux-Verloes-Stanescu syndrome, Alain Verloes was affiliated at the Center for Human Genetics, Liège University, Liège, Belgium. He is now professor at Hôpital Robert Debré, Paris.
