Biography:
J. Enrique Lujan graduated from the medical school of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, Mexico. In July 1981 he entered a genetics Fellowship at the University of Miami in and remained in the program for four years. During this period he also worked part-time in a sickle cell program.
He has been involved in significant clinical research on X- linked mental retardation. Lujan is presently (2006) associated with the Division of Genetics, Department of Pediatrics, University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami, Florida.
