Biography of Nils Gustaf Söderlund

Nils Gustaf Söderlund studied at Uppsala and at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, receiving his doctorate from the University of Uppsala in 1914. His hospital service and period as assistant was spent in Uppsala with Johan Gustaf Ekehorn (1857-1938), in Gothenburg with Dahlgren, and at the Maria Hospital in Uppsala under Einar Key (1872-1954) He was habilitated for surgery in 1922, and from 1928 was professor at the Karolinska Institutet. His numerous works particularly concern the surgical diseases of the salivary glands, the urogenital apparatus and the digestive organs.
