Sven Christian Johansson

Swedish surgeon, born January 30, 1880, Karlshamn; died October 28, 1959, Gothenburg.

Biography:
Sven Christian Johansson studied in Lund and Stockholm, graduating medical licentiate in 1907, doctor of medicine in 1924. He received his training as amanuensis at the institutes of physiology and bacteriology in Lund, and as physician at the surgical and gynaecological department of the Sabbatsberg Hospital in Stockholm. He was head physician in Gothenburg from 1914. Johansson published numerous papers in all fields of surgery.
