Argentine physician, 1893-1951.

A syndrome characterized by a malignant neoplasm of the cervical area with destructive lesions of the thorax inlet and involvement of the brachial plexus and cervical sympathetic nerves.

Biography:
José W. Tobías graduated with honours in 1918. He obtained his medical doctorate with the dissertation La epidemia de gripe de 1918. He was President of the Sociedad de Medicina Interna de Buenos Aires in 1929, the year he became "profesor Escudero y profesor suplente". He was later appointed full professor.
