Felix von Winiwarter

Austrian physician, born February 28, 1852, Vienna; died July 10, 1931, Hollabrunn, Nieder-Österreich.

Biography:
Felix von Winiwarter was the brother of Alexander von Winiwarter (1848-1917). He attended the University of Vienna and received his doctorate in 1876. He subsequently worked in the clinic of Heinrich von Bamberger (1822-1888) and then became an apprentice in surgery under Christian Albert Theodor Billroth (1829-1894) 1876-1878, and was secondary physician under Leopold Ritter von Dittel (1815-1898) from 1878 to 1881. From 1881 he was the director of a hospital in Hollabrunn, Nieder-Österreich.
