American orthopaedic surgeon, 1884-1960.

Biography:
Besides his surgical work, Dudley Joy Morton was an enthusiastic paleoanthropologist with a special interest in the importance of the development of the feet and erect walking. He was the first to suggest that Australopithecus should ble classified among hominids.
