Theodor Rumpel
German surgeon, born March 25, 1862, Gütersloh, Regierungsbezirk Minden; died August 11, 1923, Hamburg.

Rumpel-Konchalevskii-Leede phenomenon or sign

Rumpel-Leede test
Test for fragility of the smallest vessels, which is dependant upon the function of the thrombocytes.

Biography:
Theodor Rumpel obtained his doctorate at Marburg in 1887 and worked at the hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf. He was entrusted the building of the Barmbecker Krankenhaus, of which he became director in 1913.
