Alexei Nicolaevich Kazem-Beck
Russian physician, 1859-1919.

A symptom complex which is common in the presence of aneurysm of the anterior wall of the left chamber of the heart.
Biography:
Alexei Nicolaevich Kazem-Beck studied medicine at the Medical faculty of the Kazan University. He graduated in 1883 and worked as ordinarius at the chair of therapy where he was pupil of V.A. Vinogradov. He obtained his medical doctorate on 1887 and subsequently he was elected as privat-docent at the chair of diagnostics.
Kazem-Beck held the chair of medical diagnostics from 1894 to 1904, and from 1904 to 1916 the chair of therapy. He published over 30 articles.
Alexei Nikolaevich Kazem-Beck was the founder of the League against tuberculosis.
