Fritz Rabe

German physician, born September 18, 1884, Magdeburg.

Biography:

Fritz Rabe spent his student time at Tübingen, Berlin, Kiel, and Heidelberg, where he received his doctorate in 1909. He worked in the Rostock pharmacological institute and the medical clinic in Marburg, as well as at the Allgemeines Krankenhaus Eppendorf-Hamburg. He was habilitated for internal medicine in 1920, becoming ausserordentlicher professor in 1926. His research concerned the physiology of digestion.
