Biography of William Allingham

William Allingham obtained his medical doctorate in 1857. He held various positions as surgical assistant, partly in the General Northern hospital where he was also head surgeon. Besides numerous journal papers he published these works:


  • The treatment of fistula by means of elastic ligature. 1875.
  • On diseases of the rectum, their diagnosis and treatment.
    Published with his son, Herbert William Allingham.
