Canadian ophthalmologist, born 1929, southern Saskatchewan.

A syndrome comprising X-linked mental retardation in children with macroorchidism, prognathism, hypotonia and autism, and a characteristic but variable facies.

Biography:
Hans Renpenning first studied science and engineering, but changed to medicine and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1960. He has spent his career as a clinical ophthalmologist in Saskatoon, while retaining an interest in medical genetics.
