died April 3, 1920, Frankfurt am Main.

Biography:
Walter Georgi was the brother of the psychiatrist/neurologist Felix Georgi, born 1893. He studied at Zurich, Freiburg im Breisgau, Kiel, and Munich, where he obtained his doctorate in 1912. From 1917 until his death only three years later he was assistant under Hans Sachs at the institute for experimental therapy at Frankfurt am Main. He was habilitated for the science of immunity (Immunitätswissenschaft) in 1919. Ha published numerous works on bacteriology and serology.
