Joe Leigh Simpson is presently (2002) Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Molecular and Human Genetics, Baylor College of Medicine, and Chairman, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Simpson obtained his M.D. from Duke University School of Medicine, 1968. He interned in paediatrics, The New York Hospital, 1969, and was Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology, The New York Hospital, 1973.
