American ophthalmologist, born 1927.

A rare familial syndrome present from birth and affecting both sexes, characterised by eye abnormalities, congenital nonprogressive partial cerebellar ataxia with hypotonia.

Meyer-Schwickerath and Weyers syndrome
A syndrome marked mainly by ocular abnormalities, craniofacial dysmorphism, dental defects, hand and foot malformations, various skeletal defects, and mildly delayed mental development.





Biography:

Frederick D. Gillespie does private practice of ophthalmology in Parkersburg (2001). He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1956 and interned at the University of Iowa, 1956 – 1957. His academic interest is in plastic surgery.
