Biography:
John Reenstierna studied at Uppsala and Stockholm. He graduated from the latter in 1911, and received his medical doctorate from Uppsala in 1913. In 1917 he was habilitated for dermatology and syphilology at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, becoming titular professor in 1924.From 1909 he worked in the state bacteriological institute, in 1926 became Sweden’s inspector of lepra, 1927 state controller of serum production. His works concern the bacteriology of lepra, gonorrhoea, Aleppo-boil, Ulcus molle and Mycetoma pedis.
